Book Salon: McLuhan & Flusser
The McLuhan Centre for Culture and Technology is holding a book salon on Wednesday February 24, 2016 at 6pm! The event will look into “Marshall McLuhan + Vilém Flusser’s Communication + Aesthetic Theories Revisited,” discussing their influence on media and communication theory to the contemporary moment. Join Clint Enns, Tom Kohut, and Melanie Pandilovski in their conversation, and learn how McLuhan and Flusser’s works influence distributed consciousness and telematics; cinema and causality; collective evolution; media and theology; digital culture; Occupy Wall Street and other political movements; cybernetics; contemporary technological art; the ideologies of clinical practice; asemic writing; institutional critique and many other topics.
